Achieving my goal is not enough for me. May be I am lickerish person. When I watch my favorite movie alone, I feel uncomfortable. At that moment I want my friends to watch that movie and feel my feeling too. I hate to be alone. Actually I was not that fearful being alone until I dream last year…
Here my dream goes.
In my dream I had a very big aspiration that I want to achieve. I exerted a lot. One day me close friend came to me and asked me to help her for her maths exam. I refused without any doubt, because I had a lot to do. The day after that day one of my friend came to me and invited me to her birthday. But I did not come with them because of my aspiration. My rejection continued like this for about a year. I did harms to the people who were ahead me.
At last the day of achieving my goal came to me. I was really but really happy. Getting my goal is just like pure chocolate. I pledged myself never to lose my happiness. And I looked at my friends and my rivals back. They looked so tiny and they fell behind so far from me. I laughed and applauded for me. I was the top of everyone.
The first week I was happy. And the second week I was becoming bored. Third week I got fed of talking to myself. …. Third month I recognized that I was becoming mad. You may ask WHY?
I was alone. No one was with me. Can you imagine that you are alone in the world? No talking no laughing, no loving and no being loved. I felt like alien for my friends. It was the worst feeling that I have ever felt. Even I was not able to cry, because my teardrops left me alone too. I had no right to complain against my teardrop due to I’d forgotten about my teardrop during the time I was devoting to my goal.
Fortunately, my alarm rang and I woke up. What an awful nightmare it was. I looked around me. My roommate looked at me and said “Good morning” with her warm smile. It was real happiness. Do believe that it was far more great feeling than the feeling after I achieving my goal. I understood that success is tasty when you are with your friends.
Achieving my goal is not enough for me. I must be with other people…:D

Why do people go college?
When we plan about going to college, it’s a serious thing to do, because college life is different from secondary school. You have to be more serious if you want to graduate, and to be employed in a big and prestigious company. In my country most parents believe that having a son or daughter who graduated college will be the first step to save them from poverty, although going to college is not the only way to be successful , to earn money and become rich.
We know college  is expensive, but we spend time, money and give all the best we can to graduate of the chosen field . Most parents work very hard to be able to send their to nice and prestigues university and some work a part time job and stuty very hard to get scholarship. Some are you fun and meeting new friends , some say that they have to because their parents want even people who had already degree like employer manager, and enjoying at the peak of their career still go to college and enrell in another course. They may be doing this because they want another challanger on their like and also if you have college degree, and part of the world you want to live, you can have a better career and life you want to, and I think that it’s also a parents pride and honor that their children finished college. You can see it in their house the diploma are in friend hanging on their wall, and I believe that education is important in every humans life, and also learning is continuos process, and if you want to be more productive you have to learn  more, and that learning is the only thing in your life, that nobody can take it away from you. This is why people go to college.

Celebrating and Holidays

Holidays in Mongolia
The Mongolians celebrate many important holidays and festivals every year.
The most famous ones are Naadam the national festival ,Tsagaan sar (White Month) ,and new year.  Tsagaan sar , Mongolian new year . is celebrated on the first day of spring according to the oriental lunar calendar . The Mongolians have been celebrating Tsagaansar since the of Chinggis khan.
The Mongolian lunar calendar uses five cycles of twelve years , and each cycle is named after an element (earth , water, fire, iron and wood ); colour (blue, red ,yellow, white, and black) and each year is named after one of the twelve animals: mouse, cow, tiger, hare, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, cock, dog, pig. This year is   iron tiger.
The last day of the outgoing year is called Bituun and the feast given at night is bituuleg .
At the feast it is customary to break a boiled bone of a sheep or cow as if ‘’opening up’’ the bituun. Then people eat a whole boiled sheep’s rump ,buuz and bansh. Dairy products ,tsagaalag and milk rice porridge are also served .
The main TsagaanSar events take place the next day. At sunrise the host and guest dress in brand new garments and greet each other in a special manner .
This ritual is called zolgokh or zolgolt. The older person puts his hands of the younger one and both say traditional good wishes and rub cheeks or the older person kisses the younger one on the cheek . After greeting the guests are served with meals and drinks . Tea with milk and airag are  the main drinks .
Other Mongolian important holiday is Naadam. Naadam is held every year from 11 to 13 July. Naadam, or the three manly games  were originated many centuries   ago , and since 1921 it has been celebrated as People Revolution Day and Mongols traditional summer holiday.
The three manly games include national wrestling , horse racing, and archery.
Wrestling: The best wrestlers , winner of somon (сум) aimag and district competitions are admitted to the main Naadam competition in the capital city. The number of participant is 512 in each davaa the wrestler meets with only one rival.
The wrestler who wins all the nine davaas become’s the Naadam champion .
Horse  racing: Children aged from 4-10 take part in this competition . Depending on the age of the horses , distances vary from 15-30 km . Before going to the starting line the riders boys and girls sing the acient melody of Giingoo to cheer on the riders and horses.
Archery: Both men and women participate in this competition .
Mongolian bows have no sight hole stabilizer or other devices. So the archer can only rely on his keen eye , firm hand experience. Men shoot from a distance of 70 metres , women 60 metres .
Each hitor miss is recorded by the judjes who stand hear the targets . If the targets is hit , they raise their hands , chanting “Uukhai”
The winner like in the case of wrestling is awarded an honorary title.

My essay

To what extent has the male and female roles changed in the past 20 years
Changes… Everything changes… There are so many things changing while I am writing this essay. The thing that looks like constant is changing in long term. Nothing is constant.
Because of our revolution of politic system, there are so many things changed too. One of important thing is role of female and male.  I am 20 years old girl from Mongolia. Now, I am going to tell you about some changes in male and female roles between the year of my birth and this year. When I was a little child everything was different. Actually I can’t remember every detail of the roles but I can have much information about the year of 1990’s from any article.
I illustrated some changes in my essay. Here we go.
Firstly, it changed in politic. There were not so many female politicians in Mongolia. Not only Mongolia but also many different countries were not accepting female politician.  Male only made decisions. Their status was really high everywhere in the world.
Secondly, it changed in our home. Husbands never do housework, never cook, and never look after their babies. They thought that male is the king of home and must not do housework. But now, husbands help their wives in Mongolia. Many women started working and started earning a lot of money. So women started to make decision and men follow. But it is not about every family. Some families still maintain their family rules that wife has to do housework and look after children without doing job and husband has to work and earn money and make big decisions of the family.
Next change is that in business sector. There were only businessman during the 1990s, but now there are so many business women who are running their own business successfully. People did not hear the female leader’s words. They thought that female can’t lead the group or company. Most of the leaders were male. Now, female could show off themselves that they can lead a group of people and they can be successful in business world.
Now, let’s talk more about the situation in Mongolia. There were fewer changes in foreign countries from 20 years ago to nowadays.  For example, in Korea and Japan only male work and feed their family. They do not let female to work. Wives has to stay at home and clean home, cook, look after babies and cook dinner before their husbands arrive at home and wait 20 years ago. These countries family system is still the same. There are only a few females work, who are really into their occupation or whose husband has died. In United States of America both of the male and female work, and earn money to live. It is still same for now.
The country that the most of changes occurred is Mongolia. Mongolian men worked and earned money, and most of the women stayed home as like as other Asian countries. During 1990s parents thought that girls are vulnerable, and boys are strong. So, parents decided to send their girls to study at university. They did not consider on boys, because they believed that boys can find the way of living easily with their strength. That is why people did not send their boys to university.
Now in Mongolia, all the female well educated and easy to find a job, but males are not educated enough to find a suitable job.
Everyone would agree that money is one of the strong things to influence people and their life. I mean that females earn much money than males. So there are many problem occur in family life. Women want to make decision and want to be the king of the family, because she feeds all of the family members. On the other hand according to the Mongolian tradition, males have to make decision and be the captain of family. So males complain about the status of them.
Finally, I have some ideas to solve these problems.
1.       Parents need to send both of girls and boys to university, without any indiscriminating. Then the status of female and male will be the same as each other.
2.       Before wedding, husband and wife need to talk about the role of the family member.  And if they agree on each other, there will not be so many problems about the role. If they can’t agree on each other they can talk about it again and again till solve problem.
3.       Mongolian males need to be more enterprising. They need to be for the sake of live.
From my point of view, the changes of roles are good thing. Everything improves because of changes. If one aspect changes and then other aspects start to change and it would be the revolution or the improvement. I hope that the change of role female and male will influence Mongolian economy, politic, and development.

We should always remember the words, early and later wittingly or unwittingly the nature will revenge on people.

Environment
Mongolia   is   famous   for    its   original   virgin  nature . It’s   one   of   the   prides  of  Mongolia . But it     doesn’t    mean   that   we   don’t   need   to  protect   our   environment.
The  Mongols  have  ancient    historical   traditions   of    environmental   protection    of   nature,    fauna  and   flora.
The   development   of   industry    in  our   country   the   problem   of    environmental   protection            become    important.    The   big   electric   power   plants   pollute   air   in  the    Ulaanbaatar.   Other   air     pollution    resources   reach   great  proportion,   so  they   effect  the  people’s  health.
The   pollution    of   soil   is   caused    by   improper    transportation   and   disposal     of    huge      amounts   of   garbage.   The    water  of   Tuul   River   and   of    some   other     rivers   are    polluted .    because    of     electric     power   plants    or    of   people’s   careless    actions.
Fire    has    been    one    of   the   serious   problems.    Every   spring    when   the   weather    is     dry ,       in   many    places    occur   fire    involving    up    to    30    percent     of    the   total
territory.       There  has    been   a   problem   with   wild   animals,    particularly    with    deer.
Despite     the    fact     that     there     are    very      strict    laws,    people    hunt   them.    Because     of    very     expensive    pharmacentical    rarely    materials    exported    from   them.
The     government    of    Mongolia    do     many   things    to    protect    nature    and    create
 a   healthy    environment.
We    should    always     remember     the   words,    early   and   later   wittingly  or    unwittingly     the   nature    will    revenge     on   people.

Getting older

One day I visited my grandma’s house. Her house is little bit far from our town. I stayed these for 3 days. In that 3 days I just watched TV and slept. Then my grandma told me that to spend my time useful  when I am younger. Also she told that she’s jealous for me that she’s jealous for me to be younger. In fact, I was jealous for her to be old.
I think getting older is nice. Because, I don’t need to always ask permission to go out, or spend money.  I will have my own money and I can buy whatever I want. One advantage is that , I won’t make mistakes, because when people become older, they’ll have enough experience and they become intelligent. Old people don’t need to ask advice from other people. They give advice to others. Moreover, they’re so respectful. Everyone respects to the old people, also does what they say. In my opinion, when people older, they become have skill of predicting. Generally many old people can predict the what would happen or what would someone say. They can always do right things. Another point is that old people become very kind and generous. Some young guys can’t be so kind even if they’d want to be. My thought was this until my grandma explain to me something.
However, let me tell you the cons of my first paragraph. Firstly, if people don’t ask the permission to do something, it will cause the problem. The biggest problem for human is “Unless reminder, people can’t control themselves. Maybe they’ll go to wrong side of life for one thing side of life for one thing, earning money isn’t easy. People will work hard and hard than get salary. Also, they can’t buy wherever they want because they must feed their family, keep their family healthy and safe. What is more people become very curious. They always worry about something it will never stop. Even if their children live happily. Old people again worry for if their loves their happiness. Also, when people become old they always consider about their past life. They always regret what they are done, what they have said, what they haven’t done and said. The only words in their head are “ if only i….., I wish I wasn’t, I wish I had, etc.”
All in all, isn’t this life boring, isn’t this life sorry?
In conclusion, everything has two sides. It only depends on what point of view that people see. People always want to own what they haven’t.  That’s why young people are so happy when it is they birthdate. On the other hand, old people have frightened inside them, that their life becoming one year shorter.
